Update From The Studio
At the start of October These Four Walls jumped on a plane to the Gold Coast and moved into their home for the next two months, Loose Stones Stuidos. Now six weeks into an eight week recording session the album is really starting to take shape with all of the drums and bass guitar tracked, and now most of the guitars and vocals are done as well. It’s been an epic process and it’s definitely paying off. We’ve been taking heaps of video footage of the experience as well. If you don’t already, follow us on Facebook for regular updates from the studio.
So sometime in the New Year there will be a finished These Four Walls album and we will be releasing more information at that time about how and when you can get your hands on it. Obviously we will playing a bunch of shows too, so there’s plenty to look forward to. Until then have a great summer, we’re looking forward to getting back on stage in 2012!
New Album Update
It’s been a while since we’ve updated this thing. To be honest we’ve just been flat out and kind of forgot about it.
We’ve had an awesome year so far. Highlights for us were playing an epic show to packed room at the Shihad afterparty in Waihi beach, touring Australia with our good friends Bellusira, and touring the North Island with Ivy Lies. Of course our big highlight of the year was supporting Disturbed, Trivium and As I Lay Dying for three shows in May. We had such an amazing time on the road with those guys, were treated so well, and we ate and drank like kings.
Our next big goal for the second half of 2011 is to write and record our second full-length album. Songwriting has been going on since the start of the year and pre-production started last week, with our producer Matthew Bartlem (Dead Letter Circus, Thousand Needles in Red) who flew over from Queensland for a few days to blast though some tracks. We managed to work through about 9-10 songs and things are sounding promising.
Later in the year we’ll be heading over to Loose Stones Studios on the Gold Goast to knock out the album. Unfortunately this means there probably won’t be any These Four Walls shows for the rest of 2011. Don’t worry, we’ll be back in 2012, a little older, a little wiser, and probably a lot louder.

We’ve noticed it’s kind of difficult to get the tunes you want as ringtones on your iPhone. We should probably be encouraging you to buy our ringtones from the iTunes store or something, but I think everyone would rather just download them here, right?

Disturbed NZ Tour

City Showcase – Napier, NZ
City Showcase is a UK based music festival that will be held in Napier this year for the first time ever. The festival runs from 25-28 November 2010 and is spread over several music venues in Napier.
New Zealand has been selected as the first country outside of the UK to host City Showcase – the London music festival that launched superstars Amy Winehouse, Keane & Razorlight & Napier is set to host the event.
As part of the festival, These Four Walls are playing a show specially curated by Mushroom Music, with Cairo Knife Fight and Horusset at The Cabana on November 26.
Daytime events will be free but wristband holders will be eligible for promotions whilst the performance is taking place. Entry to evening gigs, Workshops & the Soundshell will be by wristband only, costing $30 for the whole weekend. Entry on a first come first served basis subject to age restrictions as some venues.
